Ortho 2000 is a liquid silicone. It appears as a beige-gray viscous liquid with a sticky feel. It is ideal for making special orthoses, as it can be mixed with tubular bandages such as TUBINET, TUBESPUMA, GAUZE, etc. This allows for the production of ultra-thin, flexible, yet durable orthoses, as they contain textile reinforcements inside. APPLICATION: 1) Cut a piece of tubing or gauze to the appropriate shape. 2) Pour the appropriate amount of silicone onto a sheet of silicone paper or a plastic plate. 3) Pour the catalyst in the appropriate amount (5 to 10%). 4) Knead well together with the added dressing. 5) Apply the kneaded silicone and bandage to the point of the orthosis and shape it with plastic. 6) After removing and after 10 minutes, the orthosis can be trimmed and improved.
