Description White clay for water purification (Kaolin), 10kg bag
White clay , also known as kaolin , is a powerful natural sorbent native to the mountains and mined from the depths of the Earth. The purity and naturalness of the product makes the cleaning process completely safe, and the micropores and high particle density give it excellent filtration properties. In addition, it has a neutral pH level, which is important for the quality of drinking water. A
Origin and properties
Kaolin is formed as a result of the natural process of decomposition of granite and sedimentary rocks. It contains a high concentration of the mineral kaolinite, which is the main component of white clay. The product is mined from the earth and undergoes special processing to remove impurities and obtain pure kaolin.
It consists primarily of kaolinite, an aluminosilicate mineral with the chemical formula Al2Si2O5(OH)4. It initially contains a small amount of impurities such as quartz, clay and various metal oxides. After additional purification during the manufacturing process, it has an extremely low content of iron and other metallic impurities, making it ideal for water purification, since metal ions can serve as unwanted pollutants for water.
White clay has excellent filtration properties due to its microporous structure and high particle density. Micropores allow you to trap and remove suspended particles, heavy metals, organic substances and other pollutants from water. Due to its dense structure, it can effectively trap contaminants of various sizes and ensure crystal clear water.
The product has a neutral pH, which means that it does not change the acid-base balance of water during the purification process. This is important for maintaining the natural acidity level of water, especially when used in domestic and commercial water purification systems. A
Application
The recommended dosage of the product depends on the level of contamination and the volume of water to be purified. We recommend using 1-2% of its weight ratio to the volume of water. For example, to purify 100 liters of water, you need to use 1-2 kilograms of white clay.
It is used in a variety of water treatment systems, including filters, sedimentation, and coagulation. In a filtration system, it is added to the filter bed to trap micro- and nanoparticles, suspended solids, and organic contaminants. In the sedimentation method, it is added to water to aggregate and settle small particles, which can then be removed. In addition, it is often used in the coagulation process to form stable aggregates, which are then removed from the water.
For ease of use and dosage control, kaolin is packed in bags or filter bags. This allows it to be used with equal success both in large water purification systems and in household filters. In particular, a bag filter with it can be placed in a container with water or installed in a water supply purification system.
